New Technology

We also are working on ways to use & hope to be using the latest in digital audio playout technology very soon, using the very best fully featured, professional DJ audio software systems.

Audio playout from PC is getting more & more popular among the entertainment world, even some of the biggest names in the industry realise how digital technology will be the next step up from CD audio. Many radio stations already use PC based audio playout in mainstream radio & Mobile disco is catching up - even some new or refurbished night-clubs are going as far as to installing PC monitors & having ready to run PC hook-up point’s in DJ booths.. so the DJ can come along with a PC tower unit or a laptop, plug in & he’s ready to go.
At the moment there are some legal difficulties making PC playout illegal however special licenses are available to make this legal for mobile roadshow use.

We hope to use Streaming Audio Manager (or SAM as it also known) as our main digital audio playout system & also utilise Mixmeister as a back-up system. We have Chosen SAM Broadcaster as this is the most stable package we have found. It also uses a local MySQL database for extra stability - we have tested the system running it on a machine & the package has run constantly for over 160 hours & tested on all it’s features, without any error. It can also handle a song capacity of over 50,0000 tracks with ease.
